Beyoutifully Preserved ❤️

This is the post excerpt.

Ok so this is the start of my blog, Beyoutifully Preserved!!! A fb friend inspired me to become a blogger by just saying “Netta when are you going to start your blog.” I remember thinking to myself, why the fuck not. I mean I’m unique and I take on life one hour at a time and I’m pretty sure what I will be discussing in my blog others want to discuss it but won’t. So now is the perfect time to start my blog.

So if you are wondering where the name Beyoutifully Preserved came from I will happily explain. I have a beautiful soul. I’m that light in a dark room. I’m the sunshine on a cloudy day. And what’s even better is the fact that I’m always me BEYOUTIFUL ME. And when I think of the word preserve I thank of something being saved. I was saved from the life that I could have grew up in and you will later learn about that life. So yes I am Beyoutifully Preserved.
My blog will be discussing my fashion sense as a plus size gal, hair styles and of course my life challenges and the steps I take to bounce back. You will be very entertained by my blog. I hope you enjoy. 😘

Sometime Away

It’s been since March since I last blogged. Since then I have moved, dealt with the anniversary of my best friend’s, slacked up on my 18 books on 2018 and becoming more in tune with a gift that God gave me.

IN MY PLACE

I received the keys to my apartment 3/10. I was soooooooo excited at opening this new chapter. I had to keep reminding myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day because I just wanted all my shit to be organized. Welllllll my place is now fully furnished. ☺️

MY ANGEL

I was eager to move in March because that’s the month my best male friend passed away. I think I have done an amazing job with dealing with his death. On 3/28 I invited a few friends over, cooked and listened to the sound of Erykah Badu( on of his favorite artist)

READING

Sadly I’ve only read two books off my list but it’s ok. The last book that I read was Black Prileveges and man Charlamange did an awesome job at writing that shit. It has motivated me to continue to work on chasing my dreams.

GOD’S GIFT

Im a firm believer that we are all blessed with gifts from GOD. I am becoming more in tune with my creative side and I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

The advice that I must share from these past three months, is it’s ok to take a break from things but always pick up where you left off.

Wrapping Up Feb

Feb treated me amazing. I haven’t wrote in weeks so I am pleased to fill you in. I went on my first girls trip on 2k18 to New Orleans, LA. I has a great time. I was new to a group of females who already new each other and I was kind of nervous. It’s nothing like being around a group of females you have never hung with. You don’t know if your going to have fun or have the worst trip of your fucking life. Wellllllll I had a blast with them and I have added them to my group of traveling partners. We really enjoyed NOLA. I drunk, ate, slept every day I was on that trip. On the last day, we went to the Mardi Gras parade and it was lit. It has to be about 40 floats in that parade. Beads, toys and coconuts were flying every where. To top in off, I knocked a man in his mouth and chipped his tooth. Haaaaa talk about fun, I’m so glad that he didn’t sue.  Im so thankful that I experienced Mardi Gras before opening the new chapter in my life.

And the new door that is getting ready to open in my life on 3/9/2018 is…..

MOVING OUT OF MY PARENTS HOUSE

I’m am sooooo freaking excited. I feel like it took me forever but I did. I look forward to this new chapter in my life and even better Im opening up this chapter in the same month where I closed an important chapter.

I am three days away from leaving for my first girls trip of 2k18. I will be traveling to New Orleans aka NOLAAAAAAA Ayyyyyyy!!!!!! So I decided to put a small twist on some regular wine glasses that I purchased for the ladies attending the trip.

Materials

  1. wine glass (any kind)
  2. acrylic paint
  3. alcohol
  4. paint brushes
  5. a paper plate
  6. oven
  7. baking pan

Pour

  1. Get a wine glass of any kind. Make sure you pill the sticker at the bottom off. Use alcohol to remove the extra adhesive from the sticker. Take the alcohol and wipe around the glass to remove grease and what ever residue that’s on it.
  2. Take your paint (any colors) and pour a little of each color on a paper plate.
  3. Take the end of the paint brush and dip it in the paint and start dabbing the end of the paint brush on the glass to create the small dots. Keep doing this until the glass is covered in dots.
  4. After the glass is covered in dots, place the glass in a baking pan and place the pan in the oven. Them tempertaure off the stove should be 350 degrees. Leave the pan in the oven for 30 minutes .
  5. Remove pan from the oven and let it cool for at least an hour. I let my glasses cool for three hours only because I forgot about them (lol).
  6. Wash glass and the glass will be ready to drink out of.

Enjoy your cocktail!!!!

How Did I Treat January?

Let me tell you I treated January like there were no other months after it. I focused on three small goals this month and I accomplished them.

#1 Focusing more on my blog no matter how many people read it or not.

#2 Filling out an apartment application. And I got approved 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Issa moving y’all 🙂

#3 I opened another bank account strictly for saving and I mean it.

TALKING ABOUT BEING A GOAL DIGGER!!!

Now I’m ready for my February

The Other Side of The Pillow from My View

The Other Side of the Pillow by Zane was the very first book I decided to read off of my 2018 reading list and I was very amazed at the story line. For those who are assuming, it is not all about sex.

SO LETS TALK ABOUT IT

Jemistry Daniels is a high school principal at a high school in the DC area. She’s had her fair share of bad men and she had become a bitter, all men are the same type of female that wasn’t looking forward to meeting her knight and shiny armor. After hearing a poem that Jemistry wrote during an open mic night, Dr. Tevin Harris a  vascular surgeon knew that he had to have Jemisrty. He wanted to do everything to prove to Jemistry that he was not like all of the other men from her past. After being persistent, he convinced her to go out with him and the rest was a beautiful love story in the making.

MY THOUGHTS

I would love to say that I love how all of the chapters started off with a quote. I love quotes and the quotes had me guessing what the chapter would be about. The book gave me hope that everyone will find the love of their life, they just have to be open to letting their guard down just a little. The author painted a mental picture that relationships aren’t perfect and everyone comes with a little baggage. I just want to mention the chemistry between Jemistry and Tevin was booming and the way that they handled the issues that came their way was very mature.

I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you have given up on love.

Happy Birthday Daddy

I woke up at 5:20 am today wanting to roll over and call my dad and tell him happy birthday 🎉. Sad part about the moment I just felt is that it will never happen. Wanna know what i did. I laid on my back and just shouted happy birthday Daddy and i love you. I’m a firm believer that your loved one who have passed away still hear you.

Dear Dad,

I hope you have the best birthday in heaven today. If you were here I would’ve called you right before you went to work just to hurts your years with the tunes of happy birthday. Then I would’ve told you to be ready at 7 so i can take you on a date. Bet you would’ve loved that my sweet angel.

Love,

Bay Bay
